After a couple of weeks on the road and a few months of tunnel-vision working, I finally am back to a "normal" week of working, working out, cleaning, cooking, and sleeping. Good to be back to normal.
Last weekend we left late on a Friday night to go climb an easy but super long (3,000 ft) route south of Mammoth. After the long week and throwing down our tents on the bare pavement of the trailhead at 1 AM, when our alarm clock rang at 5 AM to start the climb, we were more interested in sleeping than climbing. So we did... slept in, then drove down to Bishop/Aspendell to hike through the fall colors and into the John Muir Wilderness while Brett fished. And we were glad we didn't climb, because it started snowing heartily on us that afternoon.
All picturesOn Sunday we played tennis in the rain. I beat Jason at all three games, so proud of myself. It was fun... we tend to do so much of the same stuff together (hiking, mountain-biking, cooking delicious food... I mean, it gets to boring after a while... not) that it was great to do something together than neither of us had done since probably high school.
This October has mixed between beautiful fall weather, and rain, as Tahoe decides whether or not it's winter. Snow actually stuck this morning!
