Wedding & Pain

Mom & Dad came down to visit; awesome to see how healthy both of them are looking after all the hiking they've been doing.

My old buddy from elementary/middle school, Autum, recently got married so I got to be one of her bridesmaids. Her wedding was very beautiful and genuine. I caught the bouquet (or more, I ended up with more broken stems and crushed petals than the other girl), much to Boyfriend's fear.

Also ran in the Reno/Tahoe Odyssey, the 178-mile relay race around Lake Tahoe & Reno. My company paid us to run and sponsored us. I went for legs with less shorter mileage than last year (15 miles total, down from 19 last year) but went for more hills. I averaged 8:38 min/miles and didn't get scared of zombies during my night run, despite one of my coworkers making snorting noises in the bushes. The hardest part of the race is the lack of sleep (2 hours) during the 30-hour endeavor. My van finished our runs in Virginia City, where we promptly had mimosas, bloody marys and whatever breakfast we could find that included bacon (Boyfriend and I later went out for pizza and Coldstone ice cream).

Today is a rest & eat bacon day. All Odyssey photos on Facebook.
